Cancun Tropical Weather

TS Isaac started a WNW movement and the forecasted path to the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Cuba remains. Isaac must be approaching the Pedernales Peninsula tomorrow in the afternoon as tropical storm. The storm was located this afternoon at 255 miles SE of Santo Domingo. Interests in Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Bahamas, Florida and Alabama should monitor this storm. Tropical storm Joyce is over the Atlantic ocean and it is not a threat for any land at this moment. There is no danger for Mexico at the present time for any of those storms.

TS Isaac is now in the Caribbean Sea and moving westward, it was located this morning at 315 miles ESE of Saona Island in the Dominican Republic, it is expected to approach to those islands tonight, it has presented some erratic motion to the west-northwest over the past hours but a steady motion west-northwest could begin later today. If that motion continues the forecast models shows as possible area of impact the Dominican Republic as hurricane and continue to the eastern tip of Cuba. We will continue tracking the storm, no danger for Mexico at this time.

TS Isaac was located this morning at 210 miles east of Guadeloupe and moving to the west at 19mph, Isaac must approach the windward islands and enter to the Caribbean sea tonight, the forecast still gives a WNW track once it enters into the Caribbean and if this trend continues it would impact the Caribbean coast of Dominican Republic, Haiti and the eastern tip of Cuba as hurricane. No danger for Mexico at this time.

Tropical storm Isaac forms today in the Atlantic, it was located this afternoon at 500mi from Guadeloupe Island and moving to the west at 17mph. Isaac must enter to the caribbean sea in 36 to 48 hours where it has probabilities to become a hurricane, the computer models indicates a WNW track when it approaches to Hispaniola next friday, if this forecast remains Isaac would impact the western tip of Cuba next Saturday. No warnings are issued for Mexico at the present time.

Tropical depression 9 forms in the Atlantic, it was located this morning at 580mi East from Guadeloupe (Lesser Antilles) and moving to the west at 20mph, it is expected that in enter to the Caribbean Sea next Thursday as tropical storm. No alerts for Mexico have been issued at this time.
